Woolmer is a small rural locality in the Toowoomba Region, located about 18 km north of Toowoomba and approximately 9 km west of Highfields. Covering an area of around 4.5 square kilometres, Woolmer is characterized by a mix of rural residential properties, grazing land, and crop farming. The locality had a population of 38 residents in the 2021 Census, reflecting its quiet, semi-rural lifestyle and low-density development.

Historically, Woolmer was served by the former Crows Nest railway line, which operated until 1961 and contributed to the area's early development. Today, residents rely on nearby Highfields for schools, shopping, healthcare, and community services, while enjoying the peaceful surroundings of a rural setting. Recent residential developments in the broader Highfields area are expected to bring growth and improved infrastructure to Woolmer in the coming years.
